Cortex-M4 and 9DOF for $10
Soon to be released is the new STM32 F3 Discovery Kit from ST Microelectronics.
This board features their new STM32F3 microprocessor with a Cortex-M4 core running up to 144MHz together with an FPU and a DSP that was announced back in June.
The exciting news about this upcoming board is the on board features as the board will contain a 3-axis gyroscope (L3GD20) and a 6-axis e-compass consisting of a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis magnetometer (LSM303DLHC).
As the board is supposed to be priced around $10 this will make an extremely low cost AHRS system with plenty of processing power to do the DCM math algorithm together with PID loops and other tasks.

Any expected date to get some? I could really use a few of these but would need them before the new year.
@sanels
I would say a week or two.
As ST Microelectronics states “The STM32F3 Discovery Kit is available in the coming weeks” which was written the 11th September.

@assad
Dear Assad.
Are you referring to the new STM32F3 that you are trying to program?
If so, which IDE are you using?
Regards Thomas
@Thomas Jespersen
yes sir i buy STM32F3 from rs-components
there is problems in keil but at night i install atollic. board work fine without any problem thanks for reply
know i m waiting for your demonstration 🙂
@assad
Will soon come as we have now finally received the board 🙂
@Thomas Jespersen
thats great 🙂
@Thomas Jespersen i hope you will use this in quad copter project 🙂
@assad
Maybe 😉
I have already been doing some tests with an OpenPilot port for the board: https://github.com/lilvinz/OpenPilot/wiki/Discovery-F3-what-this-is-about
